The Communication Systems directorate makes some of the most cutting-edge products across the enterprise and the software group plays a very large role. We develop innovative solutions that keep our military members safe, connected, and informed. Our team has some of the most knowledgeable experts in the industry and work with all the most recent technologies in embedded software development.
As a Senior Software Engineer in this organization, you will be involved in the development of state-of-the-art communications systems to support UAVs, fighter jets, aircraft carriers, and ground vehicles. We build robust networks that implement low latency and high throughput communications that include anti-jamming capabilities, mobile adhoc features and IP connectivity.
YOU will contribute to our software development and integration on complex multi-threaded embedded C and C++ product software code bases.
YOU will support the design and development of embedded software solutions and communications products
YOU will contribute to our project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support
YOU will mentor software developers in technical and process-related areas
YOU will successfully work in a team environment, establishing collaborative relationships with coworkers in person and through technology

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
